Mark does “Park and Stride” to Severn Road Primary School

Mark was delighted to join in with the Park and Stride at Severn Road Primary School in Canton.

The Park and Stride campaign first started at Severn Road Primary School back in March – they were the very first school in Wales to take part, but there have now been may others. Parents are being encouraged to park in the Gray Street Car Park and walk the children to the school gate from there. The benefits include reducing congestion around school gate, mental and physical health benefits for children and parents, more family time together, and improvements in the children’s concentration in the classroom.

Park and Stride is a campaign started by the charity Living Streets, whose aim is to get people of all generations to enjoy the benefits of walking and to ensure all our streets are fit for walking. If you want more information on getting your school involved contact @Rachel_Maycock.
