The Trussel Trust runs a number of foodbanks in Cardiff and across the country, including two within Cardiff West. It claims the number of people receiving emergency food across the country tripled this summer compared to last year. Over 350,000 people received food between April and September.
Christmas can be a time of acute financial or emotional distress for many people. If you or someone you know is in need of emergency food, a number of local agencies in Cardiff West are able to issue vouchers that can be redeemed at the foodbanks, including GP surgeries.
In addition they accept donations of food, money or you may be able to volunteer your time.
